Plot summary
Ed Gein's overbearing mother has recently died, and he has been despondent since. The socially awkward farmer lives by himself outside Plainfield, Wisconsin, in the 1950s. His only friend, Jack, reluctantly helps him dig up bodies from the graves of women who remind him of her. Deputy Bobby Mason serves on the Plainfield police force, and Erica is his girlfriend.
