Plot summary
Lance Zutterland leaves college in debt amid a financial crisis and joins a crew of graduates: Ellis Beck, Jack, Stewart, Chandler and Allie Tucker. The group sees stealing from Chicago's richest as payback for an unfair economy and a way to the life they want. They take valuable paintings from wealthy homes, working under Mel Donnelly, who pays them only when the stolen canvases arrive intact. During a heist, the group wrecks anything valuable. To get inside the houses, the crew buys expensive business attire and pretends to be accountants, interviewing upper class clients and tricking them into giving up their addresses. Lance bonds with Allie, Ellis's girlfriend, and Ellis intimidates him into staying away from her.
