Plot summary
Kwan owns a restaurant in Hong Kong, and his employee Kai San has been sleeping with Kwan's wife. Kwan catches the two of them together, and his wife accuses Kai of attacking her. In the fight that follows, Kwan and a henchman are killed and Kwan's daughter Lily is left alive. Kai is now a wanted convict and escapes to South Africa. Ten years later he cooks in a Chinese restaurant whose owner, Kei, and Kei's wife treat him badly and pay him little because they know he is a wanted man. Lily, by now a flight attendant, comes into the restaurant and feels ill near him.
