Plot summary
In upstate New York, Dorian Lagatos is a high school senior who works out that he is gay. He meets a gay youth from the area and stays uncertain about himself. He comes out to his brother Nicky, a scholarship-winning quarterback and the favorite son of their argumentative, hetero-normative father. Dorian tries therapy and then confession in his church, and neither gives him real help. He comes out to his father and is thrown out of the house.
