Plot summary
Nell Forbes arrives at the McKinley Hotel to look after Bunny Jones, whose parents are at a banquet downstairs, while her uncle Eddie works the elevator there. With Bunny in bed, Nell tries on Ruth Jones's negligee, jewelry and perfume. Across the courtyard, airline pilot Jed Towers, whose stay began with being told by the lounge singer Lyn Lesley that their relationship is over, spots Nell at her window and telephones her. She turns him away. Eddie comes up to check on his niece, is appalled to find her in Ruth's things and orders her to remove them. After he goes, she dresses again and asks Jed to come over, presenting herself to him as a wealthy traveler.
