- A team of 75 travelled to Djibouti in March 2020 for the second shooting schedule and, as COVID-19 lockdowns halted other productions, became the only Malayalam film still shooting, isolating themselves in the old city of Tadjoura.
- The team finished its second schedule on 19 April 2020 but could not leave Djibouti because the airport had closed under the 16 March lockdown; after about a month in a villa complex, the Indian Embassy and the producer brought them back to Kerala on a private flight on 5 June 2020.
