Plot summary
A humanoid alien named Stel pairs with Private John Marrettie, a British soldier, to track down a top secret file. The document holds information on advanced energy production, captured alien spacecraft and their extraterrestrial pilots, and it names the pilots held on Earth. Stel's father, Arakawa, is among them, shot down over Earth and imprisoned by Core, a human paramilitary group. The file is in the hands of Wilson, a renegade special forces leader, who wants to sell its contents on the black market to whoever pays the most. Marrettie has little choice but to join Stel in the search for the file.
