Plot summary
Fifteen years ago, at the World Sports Games in Boston, the heads of three sponsor companies were kidnapped. Now Tokyo prepares to host the games, and the Hyper Linear, a vacuum superconducting train capable of 1,000 kilometers per hour, is to make its first trip from Nagoya Airport to a terminal at the stadium on opening day. Alan McKenzie, the WSG committee president and a former FBI Director, will ride with the sponsors. At a party for the games, the lights go out and sponsor Samuel Sebastian is found tied up in a kitchen cabinet. The FBI sees the Boston case repeating, and Conan expects the next victim to be an automobile company chief executive, John Voit.
