The Garden of Sinners – Chapter 2: A Study in Murder (Part 1) (2007) on Netflix

Plot summary

One snowy day in 1995, Mikiya Kokutou briefly encounters a girl in a white kimono named Shiki Ryogi. At school he picks her out of the crowd at the freshmen ceremony and introduces himself; she has apparently forgotten the earlier meeting and behaves very differently, but the two become friends. At night Shiki leaves her home and wanders Mifune City, where she comes upon a victim of a traffic accident and, as if in a trance, presses the blood to her lips. A man is knifed to death by an unseen attacker that same night, and more killings follow. Mikiya brings the murder up with Shiki over lunch, which displeases her, and when three more victims are found he waits with her at school for an associate to collect her.
