Plot summary
Ten years on from the events of Kite, a killer the city calls the Angel of Death leaves white feathers beside each body. The public does not know that the assassin is Monaka Noguchi, a timid high school girl who works part time at a maid café, where a regular customer harasses her. Her widowed father, Orudo Noguchi, is an astronaut aboard the International Space Station, and once space radiation exposure ends his missions he asks the researcher Kōichi Doi to carry a birthday package to the daughter he last saw four years ago. In Tokyo, two police officers chase the violent criminal Tsuin into a train station, where he takes a child hostage. Monaka also picks out her next target, a real estate agent.
