Plot summary
Three hundred years ago, a satanic cult built a temple inside a mine in Guanajuato, Mexico, where its members cut off the left hands of the people they sacrificed to the Devil. Jennifer Baines travels to the mine, which her husband Mark is trying to reopen, and learns that the workers will not go down because they fear a curse. To prove that nothing there is dangerous, the couple enter the mine and explore the old temple, where they find a small casket holding a severed hand and take it back to their hotel. That night, Mark opens the casket and the hand attacks him and takes possession of him. The demon works through left hands, driving the people it claims to act in diabolical ways.
