Plot summary
Josephine Williams, a New York stage performer, comes to her younger sister Sherry's boarding school to watch her perform in the school musical, and Sherry thinks of her as a Broadway star. Josephine steps off the train on the far side to avoid Arthur Hale, a Broadway producer, and makes her own way to the school. Arthur, scouting talent, arrives first and finds Sherry, fifteen, in tears over classmates who doubt her famous sister exists; he praises Josephine's stage work and wins her friendship. Sherry's number goes over well, and Arthur meets Josephine afterward. Sherry later travels to New York to watch her sister perform.
