Plot summary
Colonel Hogan, a decorated Special Forces officer, runs a camp where he trains recruits into mercenaries. His client, the businessman Don Michaelson, funds the operation and wants the men ready quickly. For practice, Hogan's troops seize civilians from Los Angeles streets and set them loose in a forest, where the recruits track them down. One of the people they take is Mike Danton, grabbed while he was taking out the trash at home. Danton served in Vietnam, and his captors outfit him in shorts and grease before releasing him into the woods as game. Hogan's men follow him into the trees.
