Ted Prior

Ted Prior is an American actor and producer who began as a bodybuilder. He was born in Newark, New Jersey, and relocated to Los Angeles in the late 1970s hoping to make it as a bodybuilder. His screen career began in the early 1980s under the direction of his brother David A. Prior, first in the horror film Sledgehammer (1983) and then in the lead role in Killzone (1985). When David co-founded Action International Pictures, a low budget genre film company, Ted had a supporting part in Killer Workout (1987) and the lead in Deadly Prey (1987), which later gained a cult following. He became an action leading man for the company into the 1990s, with credits including Future Zone (1990), Raw Justice (1994), Mutant Species (1994), Dead by Dawn (1998), and The Last House (2015). In 2000 he shifted into teaching and producing, running an acting studio in California and joining All American Pictures as a partner.
