Dead or Alive 2: Birds (2000) on Netflix

Plot summary

Mizuki works as a contract killer for a gang locked in a turf war with a rival crew. Sent to shoot an officer on the other side, he arrives to find the man already dead, killed by a gunman whose face he recognizes but cannot place. He reports the job as done and keeps the payment; when his own contractors come after him, he decides to lie low and takes the ferry to the island where he grew up. The other assassin, hiding for the same reason, is on the boat, buying the noodles that remind each of them of childhood trips to the mainland. On the island the two meet, and Shuuichi is a friend from the orphanage where they grew up.
