Plot summary
Marty Duran checks accounts for money laundering at Omnicorp Bank in Manhattan, and a report he writes on a prospective client kills a deal and angers the CEO. The head of his department, Robin Whiting, saves his job but sends him to a branch in Elba, the small upstate New York town where he grew up. His brother Caleb and father Martin Sr. are losing the family potato farm to the bank, and his old friend Earl mines cryptocurrency to keep his liquor store open. Marty also meets Katie, an art gallery employee, along with her boss Penelope and the gallery's accountant Ted. Looking through the branch's records, Marty begins to investigate the gallery.
