Plot summary
Gary Fenn is an advertising executive at a London agency with a client who is difficult to satisfy. He is looking for an elusive modeling type and finds Marla Kogash, a Hungarian refugee and peace activist living among London's bohemians. Tarquin, a young man protective of Marla and openly hostile to Fenn, comes with her. She has overheard an assassination plot, and killers are hunting her. Her aunt's presence unsettles her.
