Plot summary
Grace Wong is driving when another vehicle knocks her car down and she is seized at the scene. The men who take her, led by Fok Tak-nang, search her house and hold her in an abandoned building, where she repairs a broken telephone and reaches a stranger on the line. That stranger is Bob, a single father and debt collector. He has promised to see off his son Kit-kit, who is flying to Australia, and his sister Jeannie, at the airport. Grace talks him into helping her, and Bob sets off with the call still connected, though patrol officer Fai treats the story as a prank.

- When the filmmakers wanted to shoot a flying car scene set in a busy Hong Kong city district, the Hong Kong Government refused a permit, so the crew moved filming to the outskirts of Hong Kong instead.
- Louis Koo performed his own stunts in Connected, including car chases, rolling down a hill and jumping out of a falling car, and later revealed that he suffered external injuries.
