Compartment No. 6 (2021) on Netflix

Plot summary

Laura, a Finnish student, and Irina, her Russian girlfriend, plan to travel to Murmansk to see ancient petroglyphs. Irina cancels because of a scheduling conflict, and Laura decides to make the trip alone. On the train she shares a sleeping compartment with Lyoha, a Russian miner. He is drunk and brash. He asks her for Finnish phrases and then mocks the translation, and asks whether she means to work as a prostitute in Murmansk. Angry, she leaves and asks the guard to be moved to another cabin, but the guard refuses. With nowhere else on the train to sleep, she goes back and finds Lyoha asleep, then sketches his sleeping face.
