Plot summary
Jessica McEllis, a famous actress and producer, brings her holiday movie to Homestead, Iowa, a town that takes Christmas seriously. Its council outvotes Matt Larson, the widowed mayor who, with his sister Zoe, runs the town's only inn and puts local traditions first, and lets the production in. Jessica and some of the film people stay at the inn, and Matt's daughter Sophie, who is pre-teen, is a devoted fan of the star. Time with Matt's family draws him and Jessica closer, and her ex and co-star Vince Hawkins is jealous. Ian Carter, a paparazzo, wants a saucy picture and befriends Zoe.
