Plot summary
A theater troupe sails by boat to a small island near Miami that serves mostly as a graveyard for deranged criminals. Their director, Alan, who calls the actors his children, entertains them with stories about the island and the people buried there. He leads them to a cottage where the troupe will spend the night, opens a chest, puts on a mystical robe and orders everyone to take part in a midnight summoning, threatening to fire anyone who refuses. With a grimoire in hand, Alan unearths the body of Orville Dunworth and tries a Satanic rite to raise the dead. The ritual may have been a joke, but Alan seems disappointed when nothing answers it.
