Plot summary
Peter Plunkett's ancestral home, the dilapidated Castle Plunkett, has become a bed and breakfast. He owes money to Jim Brogan, an Irish-American businessman who wants to take the castle to Malibu and turn it into a theme park named Irish World unless the debt is paid within three weeks. Peter's mother, Lavinia, tells stories of Plunkett ancestors haunting the place, so Peter and his staff make costumes and effects and present the castle to their first American guests as the most haunted in Europe. Two of those guests are Malcolm Clay, a parapsychologist visiting with his family, and Jack Crawford, who has come to Ireland with his wife, Sharon.
