Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Buster (1988)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Buster caused controversy for making a hero of Buster Edwards and glamourising a brutal crime, and Prince Charles and Princess Diana canceled their attendance at the film's 15 September 1988 premiere on the advice of Phil Collins, who wanted to avoid causing them "embarrassment".
- The real Buster Edwards plays a small cameo in the film, walking out of Acapulco airport 62 minutes in with his girlfriend, who is played by Phil Collins's wife.
- For the robbery scenes the filmmakers used a preserved Class 40 locomotive, D306 (later 40106), at the Great Central Railway in Leicestershire, fitting it with fake head code boxes so it resembled the real locomotive D326.
