Plot summary
A string of murders in Washington State in 1984 leaves the police with nothing to follow. The man behind them is known as the Green River Killer. The detective leading the inquiry brings in psychologists, hoping they can explain how a killer's mind works, but their answers bring no result and the killings continue. He concludes that the only way to understand the mind of a serial killer is to meet one face to face, so he travels to the prison that holds Ted Bundy, who is serving time for his own crimes, to ask for his help in catching the Green River Killer.
