Plot summary
Charlotte is a doctor from Germany who works in Brussels. She lives there with her husband, Max, an architect, and the two of them are raising a small son. She keeps a rented apartment in the city, and there she receives men she has singled out from among her patients, for sex. Home is a different matter: her marriage and her family life hold together, and the intimacy she shares with Max gives both of them a sense of security and trust. One of the patients she picked begins to want a closeness with her that goes beyond what she had in mind.
