Brooklyn Rules (2007) on Netflix

Plot summary

Michael Turner has the instincts of a con man and a place in Columbia University's pre-law program, and he wants out of the Brooklyn streets. His close friend Carmine Mancuso wants the opposite: a life inside the Mafia world around them. Bobby Canzoneri, the third of the trio, wants only a job at the Post Office and a settled life with his fiancée. At Columbia, Michael falls for Ellen, a society girl, and leaving the neighborhood starts to look possible. Then Caesar, the neighborhood's feared Gambino capo, takes an interest in Carmine, and Michael and Bobby are pulled toward that world despite their reluctance.
