Broken Oath (1977) on Netflix

Plot summary

In a women's prison, a woman lies dying after giving birth. She tells a fellow inmate, a pickpocket, how she got there: thugs killed her husband, one of them raped her, and she was jailed after stabbing one in the eye. The pickpocket promises to raise the baby girl for revenge, but hands the infant to a Shaolin monastery for women instead, hoping the child would escape that violence. There the girl, Lotus, grows up skipping Buddhist lessons while excelling at kung fu. Expelled from the temple after killing several thugs, she rejoins the pickpocket and takes up the hunt for the men who destroyed her family.
