Plot summary

Daniela Anselmi, seventeen, gets by on the streets selling herself, and the cut-off jean shorts she wears earn her the nickname Blue Jeans. The police pick her up with a client in his car, and under questioning she names Dr. Carlo Anselmi as her father. Carlo is a restoration artist at work on a castle in the Latina countryside, and he denies that she is his daughter. Her word alone is treated as enough, and the official on the case orders Carlo to keep her with him. Daniela settles into the castle and showers Carlo with attention, to the dismay of Marisa, his girlfriend.
