Plot summary
An old man the campers have never met joins a group of young people around their camp fire. He tells them about Maria, a Mexican girl who lived in the days when Arizona was still a territory, and the account he gives of her life is a sad and devastating one. He warns them that they should leave, or they will become her next victim. They laugh it off and settle down to sleep. In the middle of the night a blood-curdling scream rings out. The campers wake to find themselves stranded, and the wrath of La Llorona is upon them.
