Plot summary
Jamal Walker works at Medieval World, a theme park facing a rival attraction, Castle World, that is opening nearby, and his boss, Ms. Bostick, is unhappy that he seems indifferent. Cleaning the moat, he spots a medallion in the water, falls in, and is pulled from a lake by Knolte, a disgraced knight. In a village he is nearly trampled by knights led by Percival, King Leo's bodyguard, and follows them to King Leo's castle, where he talks his way past the guards and meets Victoria, a chambermaid. King Leo expects word from the Duke of Normandy, the man he intends his daughter, Princess Regina, to wed.
