Plot summary
Jeremy Durham is on Vero Airlines Flight 298, traveling from Seattle to New Orleans with the body of his girlfriend, who died while the two of them were hiking. He is seated in the back rows of economy class. Across the aisle, Chloe, a girl flying with her mother, waits for the lavatory and strikes up a conversation. An elderly man with a long beard coughs without stopping and shuts himself in the bathroom. When he steps out he is panicking and bleeding, and he dies. The cabin crew and a woman serving as an air marshal try to restore calm as other travelers start to show signs of sickness.
