Plot summary
Mohit is a marketing executive hoping for a promotion, and Mayera has a head for money and a weakness for shoes. The two are a young middle-class couple who both work hard and enjoy going out, and they are deeply in love, believing they can live on love alone. Mayera's father, V.K. Sehgal, is a stubborn bureaucrat convinced that only a wealthy man can keep his daughter happy, and Mohit, on a mid-level executive's pay, is not that man. A recession then drains the couple's finances, and their taste for the good life and Mohit's worth in V.K. Sehgal's eyes are tested.
