Plot summary
Clare, a photographer from Australia, arrives in Berlin and meets Andi, a local English teacher, when he drops his belongings outside a bookshop and she helps him pick them up. He shows her a public garden where strawberries grow, and the following day they spend together, ending at his apartment, in a quiet building reached through an enclosed courtyard. She tells him she would rather stay than move on to Dusseldorf. In the morning he goes to work and she finds the door locked, with no spare key and windows that do not open. She assumes he forgot the key and stays in, cooking herself food while she waits for him to return.
