Plot summary
Charlie Brown wants at least one valentine of his own this year. Linus has fallen for his teacher, Miss Othmar, and buys her an oversized box of chocolates shaped like a heart. Sally gets the wrong idea and thinks the candy is meant for her, so she starts work on a valentine to give back. Lucy attends a pawpet show that Snoopy stages, with Charlie Brown narrating, and the performance considers what true love means. Sally has trouble making a proper valentine at home, and Charlie Brown cuts a heart shape to show her. Snoopy makes a far more elaborate card inspired by a music box. When Valentine's Day comes, the children gather to swap cards and candy, and Charlie Brown arrives with a briefcase, expecting several valentines.
