Plot summary
Michelle Rosen keeps to herself at school until Aaron Cussler, a popular jock, invites her to a party he is throwing. Charmed, she goes, and there she meets Wendy, an outcast who now runs with Aaron's crowd, and Debbie, Aaron's occasional girlfriend. Michelle drinks with Aaron and two of his friends, Steve and Jake, who drug her; Aaron and Jake assault her in a bedroom while Steve holds her down. When the boys' girlfriends find her, Debbie ties her to a tree, writes slurs on her, and leaves her there. Back home her mother offers no sympathy. Rumors about her spread through school, a counselor blames her for the bullying, and Michelle begins dressing and acting provocatively, with revenge on her mind.
