Plot summary
Kerala is home to John D'Silva, who keeps a bakery and looks after his daughter, Khushi, the family dog, Tiger, and a close friend, Jackie. When a classmate beats Khushi, John tells her that non-violence does not always work and shows her how to stand up for herself. Khushi fights back, and Tara, her teacher, wants a word with her parents. John and Tara grow friendly. On a church visit with Khushi, a girl named Devi is being held by a trafficking gang, and Khushi provokes them. John defuses the moment. Tara spots Devi hiding among the crowd, puts her in the vehicle's boot without telling John or Khushi, and drives to a police station to file a complaint.
