Plot summary
Peter Mountain, his girlfriend Crusty and her brother Maggot film a home movie of the crimes they carry out together. When Peter walks in on Crusty having sex with Maggot, the three of them argue, and Crusty ends the quarrel by using a piece of glass to arouse Peter and herself through self-mutilation. She and Peter get into a house used by crack smokers, and Peter kills the man living there with a hammer. Crusty records the interior and the body of an addict who overdosed in it. Peter starts to strip the corpse, telling Crusty that getting rid of it without clothes will be simpler, and she questions his motive, which starts another fight.

- While traveling to Canada for the Rue Morgue Festival of Fear in Toronto, co-director and writer Fred Vogel was arrested on charges of transporting obscene materials, after customs officers found copies of Mordum and its predecessor among his merchandise. The charges were dropped after he spent roughly ten hours in customs prison.
- Australian customs officials confiscated copies of Mordum in 2004, giving as their reason that the DVDs "offend against the standards of morality, decency and propriety generally accepted by reasonable adults" to the extent that they should not be imported.
- Michael Todd Schneider, who played Maggot, left the crew shortly after production on Mordum wrapped and put out his own version of the film, subtitled "The Maggot Cut", through his company Maggot Films.
