Plot summary
A squad of African Union peacekeepers escorts six Western journalists to a small village in Darfur, in the west of Sudan. Word reaches them that the Janjaweed, a state-sponsored militia, are moving toward the village. The reporters weigh two options: carry what they have witnessed out of the country and tell the world, or stay and risk their lives to help the people there. Most of the group returns to base. Freddie Smith and Theo Schwartz stay behind with Captain Jack Tobamke, the AU unit's Nigerian commander, to try to protect the villagers.
