Plot summary
Six men under Captain Choi Do-hyung set out across the Antarctic ice for the Pole of Inaccessibility, the remotest point on the continent. On the way they find a box in the snow holding a journal, remarkably preserved, left by a British expedition that aimed for the same place eighty years before and vanished in 1922. Kim Min-jae is given the task of examining it, and the record shows that both groups shared one goal. Other similarities follow. Cold and paranoia wear the men down as strange occurrences overtake them, and daylight is shrinking toward the polar winter.
