Another End (2024) on Netflix

Plot summary

Sal was at the wheel when the crash killed Zoe, and he blames himself for it. After he tries to end his life with pills and alcohol, his sister Ebe finds him in time. Ebe works at Aeternum, which stores the memories and consciousness of the dead and implants them in a living host, so the bereaved can meet the person they lost in a body that is not their own. The host absorbs the dead person's memories each time they sleep, forgets everything, and the process cannot be repeated indefinitely. Zoe's parents refuse the offer at first, and Sal hesitates too; when a therapist explains the sessions, he agrees, unsure whether he can feel a connection to a wife who does not look like herself.
