Plot summary
Anne is a twenty-something lesbian university graduate who lives in Amsterdam and is preparing to leave the city for Montreal, where she will live with Sara, her great love. Her publisher reads the manuscript of her first novel and criticizes it, and Anne is left asking what story she is trying to tell and whether she even has anything to say at all. She has to work out what she wants in life, because the main character of her novel also seems a little lost. While she gets ready for the move, she navigates her social life in Amsterdam and her writing career.
