Plot summary
Jacques Montaigne comes to Los Angeles from France for college, and he is also there to work with a team of Olympic fighters. He takes a room in the home of Maria Ordonez, a single mother whose son Martin lives there as well. A gang led by Angel is trying to bring Martin into its ranks, and Maria cannot keep the boy away from them by herself. Jacques chooses to help her. Since Maria works, he takes Martin to a martial arts school run by Henry, the man who persuaded the Olympic Committee to bring him to the city, and the two of them teach Martin self-defense.
