Plot summary
Off Palmyra, a secluded South American island, a wealthy couple, Mac and Muff Graham, are killed aboard their yacht. Buck Walker and Jennifer Jenkins, a hippieish pair the Grahams had befriended, become the suspects, and it appears fairly clear that the two took part in the crime. What the story turns on is Jennifer's role: whether Buck carried out the killings while she stood by, or whether she joined him willingly.
