Plot summary
An amateur theater company is preparing a new play. The ensemble, among them Rybník, Kydal, Spacek and Rdousil, keeps running into trouble during rehearsals, and the performance cannot go ahead without official approval. The group works from excerpts of plays by a figure its actors call the Master, whose name is never spoken. The action never leaves the Solidarita Theatre.
