Plot summary
After leaving the army, Pankrác, Bimbác and Servác spend a night camping in the countryside. During the night they wake one by one and meet three elvish brothers. The brothers give each veteran a magic item: one is a magic harp that provides servants when wished for. Another is an endless pouch that never runs out of gold, and the third is a hat that can create any object except money and people. With these magic gifts the three veterans set out. They encounter greedy characters along the way. One of the three veterans falls in love with Princezna Bosana.
