Plot summary
Teenager Belle Walker moves with her family into a house at 112 Ocean Avenue in Amityville, Long Island, so that her brain-dead twin brother James can be near Dr. Ken Milton, a neurologist who hopes to treat him. James is on life support after an accident. Juliet, Belle's younger sister, says James has been talking to her, and one night he flatlines before he is mysteriously revived. At her new school, classmates taunt Belle about the house, and she finds out that Ronald DeFeo Jr. killed his family there in 1974. Terrence, a classmate who is interested in the Amityville haunting, brings a DVD of the 1979 film about the house and suggests they watch it there at 3:15 in the morning.
