Plot summary
Amethyst is a girl who turns 17, and her best friend Ember marks the day with a gift: a vial of LSD. Amethyst consumes the entire vial by accident and begins losing her mind. She finds herself in a bizarre fantasy world, a whole existence above ours inhabited by female vampires, a eunuch who plays the piccolo, romantic noblemen, river nymphs and mystical floating orbs. A giant stone pyramid stands in that world, and it may be her portal home.
