Plot summary
For a fee, a secretive group that meets in the gym where a rhythmic gymnast trains sends one of its four members to stand in for someone recently dead, coached by the client on how that person dressed, spoke and behaved. Besides the gymnast and her coach, the members are a hospital nurse and an emergency medical technician who calls himself Mont Blanc and leads them. The nurse, Monte Rosa, looks after her ageing, widowed father. A teenage tennis player lies in the hospital after a serious car accident, and the nurse, on the girl's care team, begins to study her, gathering what she would need to play her.

Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Alps (2011)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Yorgos Lanthimos and Efthymis Filippou built the premise of Alps from the idea of people who allege something fabricated — for example making prank calls or announcing their own deaths — and the story took shape as they searched for a setting that would work cinematically.
- Not all of the film was scripted in advance: some scenes were created on the set, and some dialogue was improvised by the actors.
