Plot summary
In 1998, Bucky Le Boeuf, sixteen, wants to direct an arthouse masterpiece. A strange meteor lands in his backyard and turns his father, Walter, into a zombie with a hunger for brains. Walter drinks heavily and stays emotionally distant from his son, and he becomes the lead actor in the horror film Bucky and his friends set out to make around him, the perfect undead star. Vishnu Gudi, Bucky's loyal friend, works on the production. June Roberts, a goth teenager with stage fright, joins the crew to get past her fear of cameras. A washed-up actress takes the starring role.
