Plot summary
About 250,000 aliens, known as Newcomers, have settled in California alongside humans. Most of them had been slaves, and the masters they once served are now searching for them. Susan Francisco and her daughter Emily are on life support after being contaminated by a virus that comes from a group of human Purists. The Purists have made the virus in quantity and intend to release it over Los Angeles to kill all Newcomers. The slave masters send an elite Overseer named Ahpossno to Earth to put the Tenctonese back into slavery, and he intends to take the human population too.
